The Christ Volume 1

Christian comic book that tells of the coming to earth of God in human form as Jesus The Christ. The Christ Volume 1 is about the beginning of the birth of Jesus Christ from the book of Matthew 1. The front cover of the graphic novels is the visitation of the Magi known as Three Wise Men or Wise Men from Matthew 2. Lastly, King Herod became jealous of Jesus and demanded that all children from two years old and under be killed from Matthew 2:16

18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

The purpose of the Magi/ Three Wise Men

An explanation of the Magi known as the wise men or the three wise men came from Jerusalem to visit and worshipped Jesus.

Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.

Jesus was born in the town of Bethlehem in Judea during the time when Herod was king. After Jesus was born, some wise men from the east came to Jerusalem. They asked people, “Where is the child who has been born to be the king of the Jews? We saw the star that shows he was born. We saw it rise in the sky in the east and have come to worship him.”

Why the number three wise men?

An explanation of why we believe there were three wise men. Each man had their gifts to give to Jesus. Moreover, the gifts were gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

The Outraged from King Herod

King Herod became outraged and jealous of The Christ being born in Bethlehem.

16 Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men.

16 Herod saw that the wise men had fooled him, and he was very angry. So he gave an order to kill all the baby boys in Bethlehem and the whole area around Bethlehem. Herod had learned from the wise men the time the baby was born. It was now two years from that time. So he said to kill all the boys who were two years old and younger.
